GoCityKids (www.gocitykids.com) will give you all the information you need to plan a fun day to your - and your kids - liking in no time flat. One of Suzanne's children told us | about this site, and it is a winner. GoCityKids serves the top 20ish US markets. Once you pick your city you can search for activities for "type of day" which translates into "indoor" or "outdoor." Next is "kind of fun" where the choices include Thinking and Learning, Let's Party, Be Creative and Explore the City.
There are so many ways to search this site, you're sure to find something you like. Each city homepage has a calendar of local events, and you can even search based on your particular area of interest. We love how local the site is, and it will give you ideas you may not even have known about in addition to the tried-and-true. For example, we live in Denver. GoCityKids Denver lists the best places to fly a kite. Such a simple and lovely thing to do! As you know, we don't think you need to spend money to have fun with your kids.

The wonderful thing about HearthSong is their philosophy that children need time to be children, and that earlier is not necessarily better. Children need time for creative, imaginative play. The toys at HearthSong reflect this philosophy, with over 25% of the toys developed exclusively for them.
The site is easy to navigate. Shop by age, by toys or crafts, by Outdoor Fun or other options. Of course, we love the Sale section. In fact, right now they are having a humdinger of a sale! Excuse us. . .
