how would i know where your shoes are...

In the last few Show and Tell Me's, we have talked about Back To School supplies and clothing. Today, it's shoes. First, we want to remind you of our excellent newsletter cluing you in to the fun to be had in designing your own Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers. Next, on to other sources. We have one small source with carefully selected shoes, one source with almost every shoe there is and one source for those little pi! ggies you can't help but buy shoes for.

Garnet Hill (www.garnethill.com) has a small but excellent selection of cute, funky shoes from brands such as Merrell and Villa Scarpa. Don't look here for those shoes your kids shouldn't be wearing anyway - these shoes are fun, cute and age-appropriate. Of course, the selection for boys is not quite as extensive as

the girls' collection, but we really like the bungee slip-on shoes, and there are other good choices as well.

Zappos (www.zappos.com) has a very extensive collection of shoes for everyone. If your kids are larger, with frighteningly gigantic feet (we speak from personal experience here) go ahead and browse the men's and women's section. For the smaller feet, click on Back To School

to be transported directly to Kids' and Juniors' sized shoes for both boys and girls. Because shoe shopping can be tough if you don't know the brand, it is nice that Zappos offers free shipping both ways and a 1 year return policy.

Finally, we just can't resist Monkey Toes (www.monkey-toes.com) for those sweet, fat little piggies. Each shoe is handpainted and cute as can be. Monkey Toes has five designs to choose among, each with

matching socks. The shoes are available in children's sizes ! 1 through 10.

In the recent Show and Tell Me's, we've advised you on their clothes, shoes, lunchboxes and homework sites. The underwear is up to you.

Your preparing-for-school Girlfriends,

Terri, Suzanne and Alex
