Beijo handbags (www.beijobags.com) are fun, stylish and not-terribly-expensive. They are brightly colored, durable and practical. They are made of an army-tough polyvinyl, and distinguished by a pearlescent finish. We like Beijo bags enough that we are making an exception to one of Tell Me Girlfriend's central tenets. You can't buy these online.

In fact, with a few exceptions, you have to buy them at home parties. Yes. Home parties. Now, let us say that we are not exactly home-party fans, for reasons that we are sure you all know. There are a few bright spots in the whole home-party thing. If you go to the website, you can search for a home party in your area.  There are a lot of home parties listed. For example, here in Colorado there are parties nearly every night in a lot of neighborhoods. Depending on where you live, it would not be hard at all to find a party, ask

for an invitation and attend. We think it would be pretty easy to go and buy only what we liked (or nothing at all, if we couldn't find anything we loved) if we didn't know the hostess or the saleswoman. You can also sign up to host a party, if there aren't parties in your neighborhood.  

Back to the bags. We love the tailored look. We love the bright colors. There are even stylish-looking diaper bags! Each of the bags has small metal feet on the bottom, which keeps the bag from getting dirty and scuffed. Each bag is lined and has inner pockets. These bags are tough!
