give him bbq tools and give a gift to both of you

We love barbecue, and our husbands are quite accomplished with the tongs and marinades. We especially love barbecue because often, and certainly in our homes, the men do the cooking. It doesn't have to be men - we'll let anyone cook for us. Thus, today we have some excellent items for the grill-lover.

Camerons Cookware

(www.cameronssmoker.com) sells a wonderful variety of cookware and accessories for grilling.  This year, we are especially enamored of the Grillslinger, a gunbelt-style barbecue toolbelt. The Grillslinger is adjustable for waists from 30" to 60", and includes tongs, a flipper and a grill knife. Other pockets can hold your chef's preferred tools, spices and the essential beer. Cameron's also carries an excellent selection of wood chips, from mesquite to bourbon soaked oak. For the holidays, Cameron's offers four gift baskets. We also love the recipe section, with twenty recipes that we. . .well, we'll have to show our husbands. Or someone.

The Son of Hibachi caught our attention because of its name. However, when we checked it out at Backyard City (www.backyardcity.com), we liked what we saw. We live close to the mountains,
so outdoor activities are a big part of life here. The Son of Hibachi is perfect for us, but would be equally good for tailgate parties or eating on the beach. The key to the Son of Hibachi is the way it folds like a suitcase. When you light the grill, the suitcase acts as a chimney.  The grill uses charcoal, and is hot and ready to go in under ten minutes. When you are done grilling, fold the grill and the heat of the coals cleans it in about three minutes. Next, stash it in the fire-retardant pouch (safe up to 1100 degrees) and within a few minutes, your grill is out and you are ready to leave!

With this kind of grilling equipment, we may never cook again!

Your Barbecue-Loving Girlfriends,

Alex and Suzanne
