A little online fun can be a great break, and life needs a break sometimes!

Popular Front (www.popularfront.com/snowdays/) has a site where you can design a snowflake. After you are happy with your creation, you can tell your friends about it. This site is seriously addicting. We have made many snowflakes ourselves. While you are entertaining yourself, you can also take pleasure in the fact that Popular Front makes a donation to the Salvation Army for the flakes we make!

Whack the Penguin (kos.li/files/pinguin.swf) offers no such level of social redemption. Our top score is a very middling 300-something. We are very sure that if we were sufficiently dedicated to practice, we could improve it. We want to give two disclaimers to anyone who might be offended by this site. First, it's not real. Second, the penguins are choosing to jump off of the cliff. We hope you enjoy whacking a penguin!
