Pandora (http://www.pandora.com/)
Pandora will help you find music that is new (or new to you) that you will simply love | - and it is free! Sounds impossible, but it is true. Pandora is based on the incredible Music Genome Project, an ongoing project to analyze the hundreds of musical attributes that make up the identity of a song.
The site is simple to use. Follow the clear prompts, specifying an artist or song that you like. Pandora will create a "station based on that song. Now, click "play" to listen to the songs as they stream to your computer. As the songs play, you will be able to rate the songs, thus fine-tuning your "station" to your personal preferences. You will also | be given the opportunity to buy the song, or to add it to your list of favorites. You can maintain up to 100 "stations" with music for different times or moods.
Pandora is free, supported by advertising. There is also an ad-free subscription option which carries exactly the same content. We can't link you directly to that, but click on "account" on the website and you will see it. Pandora also has an extensive FAQ section, which will probably answer any questions you still have.
